Beware, O Muslims of the Park

Beware—

Beware as you enter Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Beware of the Angels

Who keep attendance of those

Who come with sincere hearts

Imploring their Lord

“Open for us doors of Your Mercy”

Beware—

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

O those who preach sabr

Not by the way of the blessed Messenger of Mercy

But by the example of holocaust survivors

Beware—

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those who have now banned the one, who conceived,

The Masjid in the Park

Beware—

Of those who are violating

the Law of your Rabb

By the law of “Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta”

Beware—

Of those who have now joined the ranks of those

who hinder and prevent Muslims

from entering one of the houses of Allah, (sūrat l-fatḥ:25)

Beware—

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those who came to the one whom they have now banned

For years, to learn their Qur’an

They came with ghulf and left with ghulf

They came with their Islam in their closets

And when they heard of the Masjid Project

They pocketed it secretly

In their stony hearts

And smiled and smiled and hugged and hugged

Then they came with a design where in

Men and women were to pray side by side

With nothing between them

Beware—

When you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those who now control its Minbar

From where they preach

Their perverse dīn

In violation of the Law of your Rabb

Beware—

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those whom the Angels are cursing

Because they prevent Muslims from entering the Masjid

Beware—

O Muslims of the Park

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of the day when

You will be asked

What did you do to prevent this munkar

Beware—

—lest you claim ignorance—

The blessed Prophet has told you:

“He who amongst you sees a munkar should change it by his hand; if he does not have the ability to do so, then by his tongue; if he does not have the ability to do so, then by his heart and that is the weakest of Īmān.”

Beware—

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those who have swallowed the Minaret

Of the Masjid in the Park

Trembling with fear of people while

Forgetting the fear of their Lord

Beware—

O Muslims of the Park

Of another Garden that awaits those fear their Lord

Beware—

As you enter the Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those who pocketed a thousand US dollar donation from Jerusalem

But hid in their encased hearts

The supplication of our dear Shaykh—

Abū Yūsuf Yousef Abū Sneineh

the Imām and Khaṭīb of Masjid al-Aqṣā—

Who prayed—

In the sacred precinct of the farthest Masjid—

For the Masjid in the Park—

A prayer in which were joined

Our dear brother in Jerusalem

Who sent a thousand US dollars your way—

            And this faqīr

who has now been banned from entering the Masjid in the Park

By those who—in violation of the Law brought by the Chosen one—

have invoked an act of “Her Masjesty, by and with the advice and consent of

the Legislative Assembly of Alberta”

Beware—

My dear fellow Muslims of this environ

As you enter

The Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Of those who trembled to see

The Majestic āyat al-Kursī

Inscribed in the immaculate hand of the Timuri Prince

Who calligraphed

for the missing Minaret of the Masjid in the Park

Allah: There is no deity but He—the Living, the All-Sustaining;

Neither dozing overtakes Him nor sleep;

To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth;

Who can intercede with Him without His permission?

He knows what is before them and what is behind them;

while they encompass nothing of His knowledge, except what He wills;

His Kursiyy extends over the Heavens and the Earth;

and it does not weary Him to protect them

He is the All-High, the Supreme.

The Missing Minaret—

Of the Masjid in the Park—

Still yearning to see that Majestic verse—soaring high above the creatures—

Whose fear caused those to tremble

Who have now banned the one who asked them why did you do that!

O Muslims of this environ

As you enter

The Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Ask those who now control its doors

By what right have they taken over

This house of Allah in whose foundations is the blood and sweat of the one

Whom they have now banned to enter

Ask them—

O Muslims of the Park

How did you spend our hard-earned three plus millions

That we donated to construct this house of Allah

How much of that did you throw—

To the wolfs of your egos

O Muslims in the Park

As you enter

The Masjid in the Park

On this blessed Friday

Remember, in your supplications,

The one who has been banned

From the Masjid in the Park

His only “crime” being—prevention of the munkar

following the path shown to us by the chosen one

The beloved of our Lord— The Mercy to all the creation

Upon whom be the choicest blessings and salutations
