وَفِي الْجَهْلِ قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ مَوْتٌ لِأَهْلِهِ … فَأَجْسَامُهُمْ قَبْلَ الْقُبُورِ قُبُورُ
وَإِنَّ امْرَأً لَمْ يَحْيَ بِالْعِلْمِ مَيِّتٌ … فَلَيْسَ لَهُ حَتَّى النُّشُورِ نُشُورُ
In their ignorance is the death of the ignorant before their death/ And their bodies are graves before they go to their graves
And, indeed, the one who is not alive with knowledge is dead / and for him, even the resurrection is not resurrection.
On Friday, July 5, 2024, when the young Khatib in the Masjid in the Park attempted to demolish the entire sacred tradition of the revelation of the Qur’an, because of his ignorance of what he was doing, and I went up to the Minbar after the prayer to restore the sanctity of the blessed Night of Qadr, laylatu-l-Qadr, when the Qur’an was sent down to the heaven of this world, of the Guarded Tablet, lawḥ al-Maḥfūẓ, and of the cosmic event of the descent of the Qur’an to the heaven of this world, two men pounced on me, snatched the microphone from my hand and prevented me from explaining to the congregation that one more event of desecration has just happened in the Masjid in the Park because those who control it are utterly ignorant of Islam. These people have taken control of the Masjid in the Park through a nefarious process, which has unfolded over many years and their Islam is not the one that has been transmitted to us through our beloved Messenger.
Instead of listening to the Truth, they have imposed a Ban of Ignorance on my entrance into the Masjid that I had conceived in 2000 as a center of Light and Knowledge, a vision I shared with them.
